The International 9670 series trucks are cabover 4 × 2 tractors that replace the Transstar II COET. The brand's designers have worked with the body and cab, which has improved aerodynamics and ergonomics. The more efficient suspension also provided driver comfort.
The 9670 International trucks were fitted with about 30 engine types, 16 gearbox types and a total of 17 dual and single drive axle combinations. Later, these machines served as the basis for the 9600, 9700 and 9800 International series.
